Track movement from the plate room to the line at two points: room exit and line receipt.
Record the exit details
Enter plate ID, quantity, time and planned run on the transfer list; use the site's established ID format.
Also note the trolley or designated drop point so waiting plates are not unaccounted for.
Match at line receipt. Compare the transfer entry with physical plate IDs and count. If run order changes, verify the destination again before fitting plates to a container.
When several runs are prepared at once, use a separate queue or bay for each and check labels against the dispatch plan.
Find the elapsed wait
Example: room exit at 09:12 and line receipt at 09:20 gives 8 minutes elapsed. Record both times and the reason for delay.
Compare waits across shifts and workload periods. One measurement does not prove plate readiness or performance.
An ID and time at each area transfer create a traceable movement.
Handle mismatches and returns
If an ID differs, the run changes or a plate is unused, mark an open exception and hold the plate in the designated area.
For returns, record time, quantity, ID and the status check required by the SOP; verify acceptance criteria in the model manual.
Identify transfer and receipt roles and the exception decision under the site procedure.
