The question when adding cold equipment to a fleet is whether a certificate obtained for one vehicle also covers the others. The answer is in Article 5 of the Turkish regulation on the manufacture, modification and assembly of vehicles (AİTM): serial modification is applied for per vehicle type, individual modification per vehicle.
On the individual route a technical service report cannot be reused for similar vehicles, and the chassis number in the report is the same as that of the vehicle applied for. The report for the van parked next to yours does not cover yours, even with the same make, model and year.

On the serial route the approval body issues a serial modification type approval certificate for the type; its scope is limited to system types, variants and versions, and those limits are written on the certificate. The conformity certificate for each vehicle is issued by the modifying firm.
