An additional vehicle is not the only response to rising demand, and extra equipment does not create capacity on every route. Use shift and preparation records to find why an existing vehicle cannot make another round.
Measure the full round
For a week, record loading start, departure, return, unloading and next-ready time for each vehicle. Note stops, quantity carried and delivery window too. Waiting may come from preparation, driver availability or recipient handoff.
For an extra-container or coolant option, check the supply of clean containers, freezer capacity for plates and safe loading space. Run a temperature and route-time trial; equipment does not replace the vehicle or product requirements.
Build two scenarios for the same route and load: extra equipment and an extra vehicle. List purchase or rental, energy, maintenance, labour and the deliveries each can actually cover. Separate the variables to see which bottleneck is relieved; the result applies to the measured operation.
