Off-season storage can vary by container material, gasket and accessory type. Check model instructions and assign an owner.
Remove residue before storage; choose cleaning chemicals compatible with maker guidance, rinse and dry. Do not leave a damp container closed.
Inspect body, gasket, latch, castors and drain. Mark faulty equipment and keep it separate from serviceable units; open a repair and spare-parts record.
Assess the storage area for water, dust, direct sun, impact and vehicle traffic. Set lid position, nesting and stacking only as the model-approved method specifies.
Store eutectic plates and other accessories separately under their own labels and maker storage conditions; do not assume a general rule.
At season start, repeat cleanliness, integrity and accessory checks. Add inspection date, findings and return-to-use approval to the equipment record.
