In contract growing, describe the handoff between harvest site and processing facility according to what each party actually does. Do not assume legal responsibility; check the contract, product specification and current official scope together.

Write down harvest and collection steps

Set the grower's notice, planned harvest window, collection address and delay contact. Add lot or field code, quantity, packaging and pickup time to the dispatch list.

At each transfer between field, collection point and vehicle, record who hands over and receives, the time and packaging condition. If acceptance measurement is required, specify the product-instruction method, device and location on the form; state clearly when no measurement is taken.

Keep container and product decisions traceable

Match container ID to grower, lot and return record. Identify the authorized party for pre-cooling, isolation, rejection or dispatch under the contract and site procedure. At season end, review lost containers, waiting and quality disputes using actual records and update contract terms.
