What should a driver record during a trip?

Record route, container ID, handover time, lid status and deviations in one workflow. Adapt the short check card to product procedures.

Short answer

Put container and route IDs, loading checks, handover time, lid or seal status and deviation contact on the driver card. Follow product procedure for readings at each stop; do not treat a display as product temperature. On return, count in containers and equipment and report gaps.

Write the trip card around actual field responsibilities: container ID and condition at loading, time and record at handover, and a count of containers and equipment on return.

Take lid, restraint, waiting and measurement steps from product instructions and vehicle and container procedures. Recording point, time and device with each reading aids review.

Set in advance who the driver calls and how to protect the load during a deviation. Trial the card on a route and revise skipped or unclear fields with driver feedback.
