UC Davis lists basil and shiso as chilling-sensitive herbs and specifies storage above 10°C within the sheet's scope. This does not apply to every green spice; confirm dispatch conditions by species and buyer specification.

Complete the lot record

Add wash status, free surface water, packaging and loading time to the species and lot code. For basil or shiso, assess the source condition only within requirements for that lot and buyer.

Separate mixed loads by compatibility

Compare the requirements of species travelling together. If their targets or moisture conditions conflict, use separate packaging or loading zones; do not relax a product requirement just to find one shared setting.

Inspect representative bunches for wilting, crushing and surface condition at harvest, loading and delivery using the same method. Link findings to device and timestamp, then verify route or packaging changes on a later lot.
