How to compare equipment quotations on equal terms

Align delivery, accessories, consumables, warranty and spares in real quotations; ask in writing about every blank line.

Short answer

Compare the same product, configuration and delivery point. List freight, accessories, initial consumables, items needed on later cycles, delivery window, warranty scope and service terms separately. Assess price against the quoted items, not as an unsupported total-cost forecast.

Before comparing totals, move quote lines to a shared form: product code and configuration, delivery point, freight, accessories, packaging and partial-delivery terms. Leave excluded or unspecified fields visibly blank.

Separate initial consumables from items needed for later use. Confirm in writing whether a part is needed on each shipment, its replacement condition and manufacturer code; do not add an unverified service life or savings figure.

Take date, currency, tax, warranty and service scope from the quotation. Request written confirmation of delivery window and stock status; do not call an offer cheaper until scope matches.
