Hot and chilled foods can travel in the same vehicle, but each product needs its own storage conditions and handoff record. The chain cannot be traced unless the meal identity, batch and service time match.

One record from loading to receipt

Put chilled-product label or batch, container ID, loading time, seal or lid check, recipient and handoff time on one form. If the procedure requires a product measurement, record instrument, point and result.

Keep hot and chilled products in separate containers and a defined transport arrangement. Validate a wheeled container or insulated equipment for the actual load, route and service window; no brand or vehicle type guarantees suitability by itself.

At handoff, check packaging condition and record match together. If a reading is out of range, a seal is compromised or the batch does not match, segregate the product, preserve the record and obtain a product-specific quality decision.

Review handoff records regularly by route and service time. Change preparation, loading order or recipient acceptance planning at the point where the delay occurs.
