In the Isotec TBX standard Euro crates (E1, E2, E3) can be used in every size, and the inner tub is fitted to common crate sizes. The load shelf slides in, and depending on the inner tub up to five shelves can be used in one container.

When the grid recognises that module the crate does not shift on the shelf. A crate that does not match:

  • slides on the shelf and moves in transit
  • leaves gaps, so less product fits on the same shelf
  • fights the lid closing if it overhangs the edge

The shelf has a second job, which is to split the load into layers: the product below is not crushed and there is room for air to move between products. As crate height rises fewer shelves fit between, so ordering five shelves does not mean five will be used.

Send your crate footprint and height to Aris Makina before ordering, and the shelf count is chosen together with the container size and inner tub. If you run several crate types, pulling the ones that go inside down to a single standard raises shelf efficiency.
