Vaccines travelling out and samples returning in a veterinary field case may have different requirements. Manage each stream under its own product and test instructions.

Two distinct identity chains

For vaccines, record product/lot, manufacturer instructions, dispatch and receipt; for samples, record animal/specimen ID, test, laboratory acceptance requirements and collection time. Keep each container’s label legible and suitable for leakage control.

If using one outer case, verify compartments, contact surfaces and sensor position against the field procedure. Carry samples in the container and packaging required by the laboratory, and vaccines under their own manufacturer instructions; do not assume one middle temperature.

Record farm dwell, lid openings, return and laboratory receipt times. If conditions deviate, segregate samples and vaccines; refer sample suitability to the laboratory and vaccine disposition to the product lead.
