How should a partly loaded transport container be arranged?

Secure partial loads and preserve airflow. Record the actual layout, measurement point and product instructions during a trial run.

Short answer

Secure a partial load and use divider and plate positions allowed by the product instructions; do not add arbitrary filler. Measure at the load location and compare with a reference trip using the same product, route and cold source. Check lid closure and airflow, then link the result to the record.

Arrange a partial load under the instructions for the container and cold source model. Instead of filling volume with arbitrary material, preserve product restraint, lid closure and required airflow.

Record the load condition

Log product and batch, load quantity, packaging, divider, and cold-source type and position. Compare the intended loading layout with the manufacturer's drawing and product transport instructions.

Measure on an actual trip

Place the sensor where it represents product conditions and take start and arrival readings. Note route, lid openings and ambient conditions. Compare the result with a reference trip using the same model and a similar load.

If the lid does not close fully or the load shifts, correct the arrangement before dispatch. Use a divider or filler only when model instructions and product compatibility allow it; validate the changed layout in another trial.
