When preparing for a producers' market, verify site conditions and product requirements before the sales concept.
Survey the site in advance
Confirm stall location, shade, power, unloading time, vehicle access and waste arrangements with market management.
Check local permits and open-sale rules with the relevant authority; do not assume every market has the same conditions.
Plan products and equipment
For each product, identify storage and sale conditions from its label and site procedure. Choose container, coolant and display quantity against those conditions.
Where measurement is required, add instrument, method, sensor location and lot to the sales record.
Track the trading day
Record product receipt, display, replenishment and closing times with any required product readings.
Keep lots traceable when replenishing stock so displayed product can be linked to its source.
Compare post-market records to improve product loss control and site arrangements.
