The UC Davis avocado sheet gives 5 to 13°C for mature-green fruit depending on cultivar and duration, and 2 to 4°C for ripe fruit. Chilling risk varies with cultivar and maturity; do not apply these values automatically to every Alanya lot.
Link readings to lot identity. Link cultivar, maturity, harvest and loading times, measurement point, device ID and packaging to the lot code. Verify the buyer target; do not treat fruit-surface and lot-sample readings as interchangeable.
Assess the result at destination
At arrival, collect ripening and internal-quality findings from sample fruit in the same lot alongside temperature records. A record alone does not prove chilling damage or its cause; assess it with the buyer specification and inspection method.
When cultivar or maturity changes, do not automatically copy the previous dispatch target. Confirm current buyer instructions, then measure and document the new conditions with a representative load.
