Before calculating, obtain the k-value's units and the surface and conditions it represents from the technical document. With compatible units, area and inside-to-outside temperature difference estimate transmission heat flow; that is not the full field load.
On the energy side, document usable capacity for the exact plate model and set. Load mass and initial temperature, door openings, sun, and air exchange can affect the result; do not treat unmeasured inputs as certain.
To validate an estimate, log the initial load and closure conditions, temperature near the rack, load state, and time of each opening. Report the gap between estimate and measurement as uncertainty; use it only as decision support for the tested setup and route.
