For a public food bid, calculate delivery operations alongside product cost. Use the tender documents as your source; do not generalise another authority's requirements to this tender.
Map the delivery task
Put locations, addresses, quantities, frequency and delivery windows in a table. Trial the day's sequence in route-planning software or on a map.
Separate acceptance terms
Copy the required product conditions, measurement point and method, and acceptance or rejection record from the documents. Ask through the official channel before bidding about unclear measures or rejection criteria.
Calculate required resources
Plan vehicles, drivers, containers, measuring tools and backup against delivery frequency. Do not cost several small drops as one bulk shipment.
Delay and record clauses
Include delay terms, non-conforming delivery procedures and required record retention in the cost model. Do not assume a penalty or duty from another contract.
Final check: each delivery requirement should map to a route, person, equipment item and cost.
