How to plan a load in a 46-litre EPP box

Do not confuse nominal box capacity with product space after packout and coolant.

Short answer

For the GEBHARDT Thermobox model, 46 L is nominal; outer dimensions are 600×400×320 mm and inner dimensions 538×338×257 mm. Inner dimensions still do not equal net order capacity: packaging, coolant and safe placement take space. Trial a representative load and record items that do not fit, weight and lid closure; validate the route separately.

The GEBHARDT Thermobox catalogue lists 46 L nominal volume and 538×338×257 mm internal dimensions; the outside measures 600×400×320 mm. These dimensions do not guarantee net usable order volume. Packaging, coolant and safe placement take space.

Choose samples from frequent and dense orders. Load products in their actual packaging and record what does not fit, lid closure, stacking arrangement and loaded weight. Do not assume different product formats share one usable volume.
