The ready-plate count is set by how many cycles the freezer finishes in a day, not by fleet size. While rack positions and cycle time stay the same, added plates only lengthen the queue.
Daily ready plates = rack positions x (usable hours / full-freeze time). Take the freeze time from the data sheet and from a measurement in your own freezer, and deduct maintenance and defrost hours.
Example: 30 positions, a 12-hour cycle, 24 hours: 60 plates a day. If 80 return, 20 wait; if stock grows while the ready share falls, correct positions, layout or schedule.
