A part number identifies an order line; by itself it does not show that another number is interchangeable. Match the code to the documented equipment model and version.

Complete the order identity

Alongside the manufacturer code, state the equipment model, serial number, drawing revision if available, part name, quantity and delivery address. Attach a photo as supporting evidence; do not infer dimensions or compatibility from appearance alone.

Get substitute codes confirmed in writing. GEBHARDT's catalogue lists rack 7027745 for 72 plates measuring 480 × 280 mm, with dimensions 860 × 600 × 1625 mm; 6051186 holds 144 plates of the same size and measures 1165 × 985 × 1600 mm. These are different racks, not equivalent part codes. Still require written confirmation for any claimed old-code compatibility; we obtain it from the brand and pass it on.

At receipt, compare the code and physical dimensions with the order. If they differ, stop installation and send the supplier the packaging, label and drawing revision; retain approval and change history in the part file.
