Drivers pick up solutions that no procedure records: which door is narrow, where the empty container is left, which street has no parking after noon. When the driver moves on, that knowledge goes too. Fifteen minutes once a month, built around one question, what did you do differently this month, turns it into short notes.
What a note holds
- Stop or customer, and route
- What was seen, what was done, what happened
- Direct observation written apart from interpretation
- Date, and a person who can confirm it
- Conditions that may change: access hours, parking rules
Give the draft to another driver on the same route. If they can find the entrance and complete the handover from the note, it works. Update it when conditions change and pull old copies from team use.
