A plate leak requires separate assessment of floor and product. Verify the fill from the SDS and exact product documentation; do not generalise to another brand.
Protect people and isolate the area
Stop work, warn others and block access to the slippery area. If there is contact or injury, follow the workplace emergency procedure.
Separate plate and goods. Label and quarantine the leaking part; separately identify goods and packaging contacted by the spill. Keep them apart from unaffected lots.
Clean according to documentation
Follow the product SDS for spill response, protective equipment and waste. Do not assume the solution may be poured into a drain or washed with water.
Escalate product disposition to quality
Give quality staff contact details, packaging integrity, lot and product procedure. Record acceptance, rework or disposal under authorised procedures; add leak cause to the maintenance record.
