Cool night air alone does not prove that pre-cooling uses less energy or suits the product.
Define the trial
Record product and load, container, PCM plate, conditioning method and the day/night operating setups to compare.
Take measurements
Record starting product, container and plate conditions, ambient conditions, process duration and electricity meter use.
Compare using the same instrument, measurement location and load. Verify tariff and meter period from the bill.
Protect product suitability
Condition and load according to approved product instructions; do not treat night ambient conditions as a substitute for suitable product conditions.
Add pre-cooling temperature records and transport start time to the shipment file.
Test the result separately for another season, route or load.
Adopt the pre-cooling arrangement only when product requirements and measured energy results support it together.
