An attendance record and evidence that a worker can perform a task are different things. Tie the training plan to the shift’s actual equipment, form, product group and deviation contacts; write down the demonstration expected for each role.
A certificate proves attendance; the system that connects daily behaviour is the cold chain.
Run a short field check
Ask the worker to show where to find the product requirement before dispatch, how to check the measuring device, which record receives the result, and how to hold and report an out-of-target load. Record the correct steps and any missed step on an observation sheet without naming individuals in general trend reports.
Link the training record to the task
Keep date, participants, topics, instruction version and practical check result. Rehearse the relevant step after a deviation or equipment change. FAO recommends monitoring operational steps through distribution and applying corrective action where needed (FAO).
Verify required topics, frequency and certificates against the current rules that apply to the product and operation. Do not treat one attendance certificate as proof of competence or compliance.
