Before choosing a fixed canopy or portable shade, define the waiting problem: where, on which shift, and with what load and duration do containers sit exposed? Link loading and departure times to the same shipment ID.

For comparison, use similar product or load, container model, starting reading, and waiting interval. Record sun or shade position, ambient conditions, lid openings, and instrument location; do not infer internal conditions from touch on the outer surface.

Compare results with the applicable product procedure and acceptance criteria. Limit any observed difference to the tested day, load, arrangement, and duration; do not generalise to another season or site.

For a permanent canopy, review vehicle clearance, manoeuvring and pedestrian access, drainage, wind loading, and site building or fire-safety approval with project owners. Determine suitability from a site-specific review, not a generic recommendation.
