A passive container generates no heat; it only slows heat transfer. Hold time is not a property of the container alone, but a test result for a particular product and transport setup.

Define the test conditions

Record product and packaging, starting condition, actual load, container model, plate type and layout, ambient conditions, stops and lid openings. If one of these changes, results may no longer be directly comparable.

Write the product acceptance range and site test criterion in advance. Place a calibrated logger near the product at the location required by the instruction; retain the full profile, route timestamps and events throughout the test.

Use the field result within its scope

Test on the planned demanding route or representative conditions. Apply the result only to the tested model, packout and route; revalidate after changes. A manufacturer's catalogue claim alone does not prove the same duration for your different setup.
