A unit failure requires the driver, dispatch and product owner to share the same record and instructions. A generic “first half hour” rule cannot determine load suitability.
Driver's initial report. Send the safe stop location, failure time, alarm or code, door status and load identity to dispatch. Keep monitoring records under product procedure unless instructed otherwise.
Decide by product
Give the owner load type, lot conditions, latest measurement and applicable product procedure. Do not use an estimated body warm-up time as an acceptance criterion.
Assign contingency choices and owners
Assign decision and action owners in advance for service call, replacement vehicle, transfer to a suitable cold store or stop resequencing.
Close the incident
Join the failure report, temperature data, interventions, handover confirmation and product release or hold decision in the shipment file.
