Warehouse and dispatch34 / 36

Three limits set trip frequency: shelf life left at delivery, the store's cold storage volume and its rate of sale. A small calculation shows how many trips a week each store needs.
Transport and routing
Consumption comes from heat load: wall transfer, product, doors, internal loads and defrost are added up and divided by the refrigeration efficiency (COP). Step by step with a worked example.
Warehouse and dispatch
Litres are the inner volume; the choice runs from outside in. First a base that fits the 1200 x 800 mm Euro pallet layer, then wall thickness and the litres that remain.
Single-use packaging
A worked example shows how to read a price per square metre through its denominator, external surface and panel thickness.
Warehouse and dispatch
A refrigerated trailer's internal size is smaller than its outside; at 13.4 m internal length the count comes to 33 pallets. The stacking plan is built on net internal size, air clearance and axle distribution.
Vehicle bodywork hardware
Harvested produce respires and gives off heat and water vapour. In choosing a crate, airflow comes first, then stacking, cleaning and the empty return.
Containers and equipment
Do not decide on a separate cabinet from trip count alone. Record model preparation time, freezer load and time between trips.
Eutectics and insulation
Record time from cold storage to vehicle. Find where your process runs long by product, pack type and staging temperature.
Warehouse and dispatch
A warehouse at ambient temperature needs at least 7 days of logging, a cold room 24-72 hours, and sensors on a 5-10 metre grid: the numbers behind a mapping study and how its result sets sensor placement.
Pharmaceutical cold chain
Do not bury breakage and cleanup in general overhead. Log damaged boxes, recovered fragments and cleanup time by incident.
Single-use packaging
Catalogue volume does not show pallet efficiency. Add footprint, orientation, vehicle height and safe stacking limits to the plan.
Containers and equipment
On the wholesaler side the rules gather under three headings: suitable conditions, measured conditions, documented conditions. Two of the three are of no use without the third.
Pharmaceutical cold chain
Preloading product measurement, door-event duration and thermal records are read together; none alone decides safety or release.
Measurement and traceability
Room temperature for a medicine means showing by record that it stayed in the 15-25 °C band. Mapping and a well-placed logger find the spot where the band is breached.
Pharmaceutical cold chain
Link depot exit, dock, vehicle and handover in one shipment record. Make waiting and monitoring gaps visible.
Transport and routing
Infusion solutions are not fridge products, but they have a limit in both directions: product information, the USP table and the volume of ice show what to record, and at which temperature.
