Warehouse and dispatch15 / 36

Ice packs stacked into a tight block freeze late in the middle. Layering them on a rack that keeps an air gap between packs works fine.
Warehouse and dispatch
Gel packs go above the product, with an insulating layer between pack and goods, and are held so they cannot move in the box. The layout is checked with a trial run for that box, the outside temperature and the transit time.
Eutectics and insulation
A box can fit the aisle and still not open. The space needed follows from the door width measured from the hinge axis and from the opening angle.
Containers and equipment
A gel pack laid flat in a single layer freezes through in 24-48 hours. A pack that is hard outside can still be soft in the middle; readiness is judged at the centre.
Eutectics and insulation
The gel pack temperature class, freezing time, the cooling capacity of a 500 g pack and how many packs a warm load needs.
Eutectics and insulation
GEBHARDT recommends 24 hours for its eutectic plates; depending on the cooling technology it ranges from 8 to 24 hours. The freezer must run at least 5 °C below the melting point.
Eutectics and insulation
Match drawings, load and interfaces with the integrator, then trial a sample through a full cycle.
Warehouse and dispatch
An empty box is light but bulky. Sunlight, the pressure of one narrow contact point and look-alike models are the three ways stock gets damaged; each one comes with a figure and a check.
Warehouse and dispatch
The inner box should not shift, and supports should not crush its walls or lid. Validate the pack with the carrier's applicable test conditions.
Warehouse and dispatch
A set goes out in the morning, comes back at night and has to freeze. The set count follows from the length of that cycle, the dispatch interval and the routes leaving together.
Warehouse and dispatch
The label goes on a flat, dry surface away from edges. Polystyrene is rough and cold, so adhesion is tested on the real box.
Measurement and traceability
Keeping boxes within the pallet footprint is only the start. Bottom-layer pressure, alignment, interlayers and stretch tension need joint control.
Warehouse and dispatch
Do not assume fixed hold times for full or empty loads; compare product, mass, initial state, and matched route measurements.
Measurement and traceability
Tape holds a seated lid closed; it does not fix a gap or a crushed edge. Dry-fit the lid first, then trial the tape on a real shipment.
Warehouse and dispatch
Five steps, each with its limit: checking the box, bringing the product to temperature, working out how much coolant the load needs, placing it, and recording the closure.
Single-use packaging
Choose by the actual handling path: check floor, thresholds, forklift access and how the load must move at the final handoff.
