Beyond plates and dry ice there is a third route: turning liquid carbon dioxide into snow inside the box. The sublimation temperature, the cooling per kilogram and the CO2 limit in a closed cab set the terms.
Dry ice
The cause is often load height, trapped packaging or a dirty seating face rather than the lid itself. Pressing down only hides it.
Containers and equipment
A thermobox needs no power and makes no cold. Freezing the plate, the loading temperature and a lid that closes without force are all settled before the run starts.
Containers and equipment
The weld is the least inspected and most heavily loaded spot on a container. ISO 3834 shows how welding is controlled; GEBHARDT's welding certificate covers welded steel constructions, special load carriers and containers.
Regulations and standards
Compare thermobox offers using the same suitable load configuration and use assumptions, rather than litres alone.
Cost and investment
Low weight can lead on a single drop. On a multi-stop route, shape retention, fast closure and rearranging the remaining load matter more.
Containers and equipment
The melting point of a eutectic plate sets how cold the freezer must be and how many plates a bag needs. Below are GEBHARDT's figures and a worked bag-pool example.
Transport and routing
Do not treat label volume as usable load. Measure packs, cold sources and closure clearance in a sample, then record the layout.
Containers and equipment
Do not extend a general catalogue statement to every accessory. Match the part and intended use to the document scope.
Regulations and standards
Assess the sample with real packs and the planned cleaning flow; write acceptance criteria before ordering.
Supply relationships
Inspect the zip line empty and loaded; record gaps, trapped lining and seam damage, then verify the sample in use.
Containers and equipment
Compare bags by pack fit, cleaning and route trials, not litres or catalogue ratings alone.
Containers and equipment
The tub, bar and cross on the care label show what temperature a machine may use. A bag with a rigid base or brittle insulation stays out of the machine, whatever the label says.
Food quality and shelf life
A box with no motor and no power needs inspection in place of maintenance: four lists, daily, monthly, half-yearly and annual, plus the ATP date on the same calendar.
Containers and equipment
Document damage location, layer impact and cleanability; confirm the repair method with authorized service.
Containers and equipment
The ATP definition of insulated equipment, its K-value classes and a six-hour route calculation show where a soft bag stops being enough. Product temperature limits come from the same ATP guide.
