Fleet and refrigeration units3 / 7

Your use calendar and quote set the decision point, not assumed day-count bands. Compare both options against the same routes and annual costs.
Cost and investment
Include payload, refrigeration and stops in range planning. Compare manufacturer data with energy and charging records from your route.
Fleet and refrigeration units
With the engine running the alternator feeds the fridge; once it stops the load falls on the battery. A 100 Ah battery holds 1.2 kWh in total and a starter battery cannot be deep-cycled.
Vehicle bodywork hardware
On a refrigerated vehicle the chassis, body and unit age separately. Tax depreciation is tabled at 5 years (20%) for a heavy truck and 4 years (25%) for a light one; real life and the replacement decision come from component records.
Cost and investment
Do not measure a failure by the repair invoice alone. Collect order, rerouting, product-disposition and extra-trip records for each incident.
Risk and emergencies
A service calendar follows more than running hours or a year. Track model, operating mode, environment, service records, consumables and backup in one budget.
Fleet and refrigeration units
Independent diesel refrigeration units burned roughly 1.8 to 2.3 litres an hour in tests. The share of a direct-drive unit cannot be found unless it is measured apart from the vehicle's consumption.
Fleet and refrigeration units
A unit sensor and a product measurement show different things. State which reading you took, where and by what method on the delivery record.
Measurement and traceability
Do not judge urgent transport by invoice alone. Record extra labour, waiting and delivery effects, then compare with a permanent-capacity quote.
Transport and routing
Do not call longer operation, icing or repeated excursions a failure by themselves; combine context, records and qualified technical review.
Pharmaceutical cold chain
Do not guess the battery impact. Use the container model's manual and vehicle measurements to log load with the engine on and off.
Containers and equipment
Build a cost ledger for one period and service scope, then track investment allocation, energy sources and actual downtime separately.
Fleet and refrigeration units
Do not infer temperature risk from stop count alone. Record open duration, sensor traces and delivery sequence together.
Transport and routing
Separate vehicle repair from load protection. The driver should record the breakdown, alarms and logger status, then follow the contact plan.
Pharmaceutical cold chain
A refrigeration unit cooling the air does not show that product core is at target. Base the loading decision on product readings and shipment requirements.
Warehouse and dispatch
Compare spare parts, containers or vehicles with failure and downtime records. Include idle time and maintenance cost.
